Beach Information
This stretch of land, from the Indian River Inlet down through Fenwick Island, is aptly named, as it is nestled between the hustle and bustle of northern Rehoboth/Lewes/Dewey Beach and its southern boundary of Ocean City, Maryland. Whether you are looking for a place at the shore line to relax in your chair, surf on an unguarded beach, clam or fish in the bay, stroll the Bethany boardwalk, visit quaint stores and restaurants, bike the still uncrowded rural roads, this southeastern corner of Sussex County has it all! The area has seen unsurpassed growth within the last five years, but the charm and quiet that has attracted visitors and many new residents still abounds. Many of the older landmarks and building are gone, and there are many new communities and residents, but the area is still one of the most desirable vacation and relocation spots around.
The Delaware coast is alone in its amount of state-owned land, both for Ocean beaches, Bay beaches, and various parks throughout the county and state for the public to enjoy. The towns of Bethany, Fenwick, and South Bethany, are still characterized by their small town charm, some shopping and restaurants, and limited amusements, such as miniature golf, go carts, etc. Busier boardwalks, rides, and people are just minutes away, north or south of us.
The Bethany, Fenwick and surrounding areas have a variety of events for all ages! The following links will help you find out about each area!
